MUKINBUDIN - Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is held on the second weekend of September every year in Mukinbudin. It starts on the Thursday with a range of activities and culminating with a grand opening at the art exhibit on the Thursday evening at the Mukinbudin Memorial Hall. A variety of artists are encouraged to exhibit here, and a high standard of art is usually on display with many pieces selling during the festival. The art exhibition is one not to be missed with live entertainment, gourmet Hors D'Oeuvres and refreshing beverages, it is extremely popular and always well attended.
The festival then continues with a variety including live music, Kid Film Night and an amazing Fireworks show with catered food and drinks. The Saturday market day is an enjoyable day for all ages with many activities, music and entertainers for everyone to enjoy and participate in. The afternoon will lead up to the Muka Dry Boat Race. Any prospective stall holders or Dry Boat Race Teams are encouraged to contact the Spring Festival Committee to be part of the event. The Festival will finish on the Saturday night with a wave of Beach to Bush themed activities. Highlights of the night will also include live entertainment and food. - See more at:
