WBN Releases Jobs Position Paper

One of the most pressing challenges that Wheatbelt Business Network (WBN) members are telling us about on almost a daily basis is attracting and retaining staff.

Over the past 12 months the WBN team has worked with members on their business structures, recruitment and engagement processes, workplace culture, job descriptions and incentive programs but despite our members doing all of this, there are some significant macro issues at play.

These macro issues need addressing.

The WBN on behalf of its membership have written a Wheatbelt Jobs Position Paper in an effort to raise the profile of these issues.

Finding and retaining staff is hindering our communities and the growth and diversification of businesses.

We will be sharing this position paper with media, policy makers, members of Parliament, industry groups and anyone that will listen.

Members, please share this position paper widely and through your social media platforms. Head to the WBN Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram pages to share.

Thank you to the WBN members who provided input and to Annemaree Jenson, a WBN member who wrote the position paper with us.

Kind Regards,

Caroline Robinson
