Join our Lumen Study Hubs team as our Communications & Engagement Officer!
Are you a creative communicator who thrives on engaging with communities and making a difference? We are looking for a passionate Communications & Engagement Officer to help promote and grow the Lumen Wheatbelt Regional Study Hubs network. This is a part-time (20–27 hours per week) fixed-term role until 30 June 2027 (In line with our current funding agreement), with flexibility to work remotely within the Wheatbelt and travel across the region.
What you’ll do
Media & Communications – Manage Lumen’s social media, create engaging content, and promote student success stories.
Community Engagement & Outreach – Build partnerships with schools, community groups, and businesses to support students and increase participation in tertiary education.
Project Management – Lead initiatives that enhance student engagement.
What we’re looking for
You are someone with a passion for life long learning and a background in Communications/Marketing or Community Engagement. You excel in dynamic environments and have strong skills in social media, marketing and community engagement. You’re a talented problem-solver and relationship builder and able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations. A current Australian Driver’s Licence, National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check are essential, and qualifications in Communications or Marketing are highly desirable. Familiarity with higher education systems and community outreach strategies will set you apart.
