The Hon Jason Clare MP Minister for Education officially opened the Ellenbrook Study Hub on Tuesday 3rd June, ushering in a new educational era for local tertiary students.
The new hub offers access to high-speed WiFi, hot desks, comfortable study areas, in-person support and guidance, study information and workshops/social events.
Ellenbrook Study Hub services are being delivered in partnership with RDA Wheatbelt which operates the high-quality Lumen Wheatbelt Regional University Study Hubs.
Tanya Richardson, City of Swan Mayor, said the hub is a fantastic space for local students to access high-quality study services much closer to home.
“For City of Swan and peri-urban wheatbelt residents who have to travel quite a distance to access tertiary study services, having the newly opened Ellenbrook Study Hub so close to home will make it easier for them to get the services they need without the long commute,” she said.
“We are proud to open the doors at the Ellenbrook Study Hub, providing a vibrant new space that will help students from Ellenbrook and surrounding communities access higher education opportunities closer to home.”
Elise Woods, Director University Study Hubs, said Lumen is thrilled to deliver another high-quality study hub.
“This partnership between RDA Wheatbelt and the City of Swan represents a strong commitment to supporting students in the community,” she said.
“Together, we are creating pathways for outer-metropolitan and regional students to succeed and thrive.”
The Ellenbrook Study Hub is open from 6am to 10pm every day, and student support staff are on site during business hours, Monday to Friday.
